A Dancer for Every Dog
It all started with one simple idea. All That! Dance Company director, Sarah Beth Byrum, saw one of her dancers snuggling her newly adopted rescue pup in the lobby of the dance studio and wondered if she could express this special bond through photos. Sarah Beth reached out to resident dance photographer, Elizabeth Hults, who quickly jumped on board to bring the project to life. Greenhill Humane Society was the perfect partner as this local animal adoption company has had a positive impact on our community for nearly 75 years. The community nominated dogs to be featured in the calendar and dancers from All That! Dance Company were paired with these new canine best friends to create special memories and capture the relationship between children and adopted animals. All proceeds from the calendar sales will directly support Greenhill Humane Society’s work in finding a home for every animal.

Dancers & Dogs in the News: Profile on All That! Dancer Makayla Rice
Dancer Profile: Makayla Rice
We were ecstatic to have Christelle Koumoue of NBC16 interview All That! Dancer Makayla Rice about her love for dogs and her involvement in the project. Makayla has danced at All That! Dance Company for over ten years and is currently a senior at Thurston High School. Makayla’s own dog, Oliver, is a rescue and she is passionate about animal protection and adoption. This year, Makayla will appear as The Sugar Plum Fairy in the upcoming production of the Nutcracker Remixed, as well as serve as Senior Captain for her competitive dance team. Makayla shines both on and off the dance floor and her dedication makes her the perfect spokesperson for this project.
